Surely, surely

That rain cloud must bring rain to someone, hopefully to these dry hills.

We had a 50 ml downpour yesterday for which I'm truly thankful.

Right now the thunder is rumbling away in the distance, it's growing dark long before it should, could we be lucky enough to receive more rain?

    1. Thanks, that's what all the farmers are hoping for. The holiday makers hope equally as much for fine weather.

  2. Praying all dry areas get rain, and that the over-wet areas get a chance to dry out.

    1. We ask for a lot, don't we, messymimi - rain, but just the right amount that we need at this time. While we are crying out for rain, others are being flooded.

  3. Our skies have been looking like that as well :)
Hope you do get some decent rainfall out of them.

    1. We've been lucky for this time of year, Margaret. One downpour and a few light showers, just enough to keep the garden (and weeds) growing.

    1. That's always the way of it, isn't it? We've averted a drought here whilst the South Island has had floods.

  5. Ah how we all long for something. We have just had three successive days of sunshine (albeit with the occasional shower and almost freezing temperatures) after several months of almost constant rain.

    1. Very true, Graham. Bet you enjoyed the sunshine while you had it. That constant rain must be hard to live with. Just heard the new lockdown restrictions for your part of the world but I understood you stay as you have been since Boxing Day. Stay safe.

    1. We've had more rain than we usually do at this time of year, Monica, but would like a little more. Never happy, huh?
