Sometimes there are no animals at all to be seen alongside the road when I drive to the lodge. Other days I give thanks if I have time to stop and take a photo of grazing cows or sheep. On the day I took these photos, in the morning the cows were strung out along the little creek which is hard to make out in this shot.
On my return a few hours later they had moved towards the trees.
I'm linking to My Corner of the World.
Pretty pasture ... happy cows! Our daughter ans SIL live on five acres in the semi-country and we pass livestock in fields when we go out there but I never seem to find a pullover place to get pictures. You inspire me to try harder .., I love seeing the cows and horses and sheep and should get those memories into blog form.
ReplyDeleteThere's very little traffic on this road, Sallie, so pulling over isn't too difficult.
DeleteLovely rural scenes - it must be a pleasure to drive around there.
ReplyDeleteThe lack of traffic makes it very pleasant to drive here, Margaret.
Delete...a day in a gorgeous setting with these beautiful cows. This is just the kind of day that I enjoy, thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy kind of day, too, Tom. The sight of contented animals always adds to the pleasure.
DeleteI think I recognise that wrinkly tin barn.
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd recognise it, Graham, it always looks a bit peculiar, sitting out there by itself.
DeleteCows are such inquisitive and peaceful beasts. I find them relaxing to have around.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Adrian. They are lovely creatures.
DeletePerhaps it was a warm day and the herd was seeking shade? Lovely rural scenes. Cows are such important animals for all of us so it is little wonder they are revered in so many places.
ReplyDeleteIt was warm in the afternoon, quite a few of the cows were enjoying the shade.

ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Pauline!
Thanks, Veronica Lee.
DeleteThat's a most beautiful and productive corner.
ReplyDeleteCows are very curious aren't they, I sometimes stop and say hi to them.
ReplyDeleteWe sometimes stop and 'moo' at them along the road :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week!
So you are often waiting until "The Cows to come Home"
