New horizons

I have hundreds of photos to post when I get back home but that won't be until well into September so heres a few from the central coast of New South Wales.

Unfortunately the weather has been quite wet and this afternoon its darn cold so my friend and I are under blankets in front of the heater.

The bird life is abundant, the rainbow lorikeet visit the deck and pelicans are at the end of the street.

  1. The Lorikeet is like something from a story book. How beautiful!

  3. Send a bit of cold up this way please Pauline, it was so hot this afternoon I almost popped the aircon on!
Parrots and pelicans - gotta love 'em. Lucky you having them so close.

  4. If these and the photos you've posted on FB are anything to go by we are in for a real treat. I don't think I've ever seen a pelican in the wild.

I'm so glad you are having a great time (even if it's a bit cold today).

  6. I saw these first birds flying high over the desert on their way south I guess. Magnificent.

  7. Very pretty, and very different from the brown pelicans we have around here as our state bird.
