Lasting impressions of Budgewoi on the New South Wales central coast.
Nah, it's a bit soon for that, I only returned to Brisbane yesterday afternoon. But right now I am cherishing the memory of all the birds and how co-operative they are to tourists armed with cameras.
Before leaving there was time for a walk around the lake closest to my friend's home. I can only upload two pics at a time on my little travel gizmo, but can't resist another pelican. And a shag.
Two at a time is better than none at all.
ReplyDeleteIsn't there a saying about two birds??
ReplyDeleteOkay just looked it up....
"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush' meaning what you have is better than what you don't have so there don't be greedy. Two photos is enough.
You are certainly getting around. Bad luck about the rain while you are on holidays but good for our gardens.
A wonderful bird is the pelican.
ReplyDeleteIts beak can hold more than its belican.
I think your pelicans are much prettier than ours! (by ours, of course, I mean North American pelicans, as we don't normally see them up here)
ReplyDeleteMy sympathy, i couldn't have resisted that pelican, either!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are wonderful as usual, I cannot imagine myself ever able to take pictures as good as what you capture.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Pauline! I love Pelicans and also Australian Darters. I'd hate to get in a fight with a Darter, though. Those beaks are deadly!
ReplyDeleteI love the Pelican. We don't have them in our part of the world except zoo specimens which always look rather scraggy and sad.
ReplyDeleteNice pelican photo! Thanks for the blog visit. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Pelicans!! I love the Central Coast too.
