I don't like taking photos of sunrises and sunsets when buildings are part of the scene. But on this occasion the rays of the rising sun looked to be blessing my neighbour's home. I'm probably a bit over- imaginative in saying that. I should have stepped outside to get a better angle but wasn't suitably dressed.
The same gentle sunrise was casting soft light on the trees and shrubs at the side of my home.
I'm enjoying our autumnal weather and the colour changes in the trees near me.
This beauty I see every time I go to my front door in the first photo has just started dropping it's golden leaves.
And here it is today. You could probably count the number of leaves still to drop.Leaves fall,
Crimson and gold,
Nature sheds her bright cloak,
Preparing for winter’s still breath,
Silent rest.

That is a lovely sunrise, Pauline. I'm never up that early or rarely :)
ReplyDeleteThe tree is a beauty, colour are always wonderful in those trees and the words you wrote at the end, so fitting.
I'm not an early bird either, Margaret. My cat, however, refuses to use the cat-door while her main slave is in the house and she can be quite persistant in her efforts to wake me.
DeleteA lovely autumn post. I love the light and the leaves.
ReplyDeleteI love the light at this time of year, especially in the morning and evening.
DeleteBeautiful sunrise. And if you don't like the building you could edit the lower half of the photo away, you know... ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never had much patience for editing photos, Monica and now my hands ache if I work with the mouse, it's definitely not going to happen.
DeleteThis was such a beautiful morning. There are some programs which will erase objects from pictures now.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful morning, mimi.
ReplyDeleteIt's my favourite time of year purely because of the colours, have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe autumn colours are lovely, what a glorious morning. My favourite time of year as well.
