The grin

It's a shame I cut off the top of her head, too bad but the photo is about her grin.  She has a beautiful smile but it's that familiar grin that I love the most.

    1. That's not what I worry about, Adrian. I'm more concerned that some will hurt her!

  2. I was looking through photos yesterday for something and came across some of her as a wee girl. It seems such a short while ago and yet, in some ways, a different life ago.

    1. I know what you mean, Graham. Sometimes it seems like yesterday she'd be giving me that grin when I thanked her
for coming to play with me, other times it all seems so long ago.

  3. Cheerful and cheeky at the same time - she must be a joy to have around the place :)

  4. Pauline, do not worry about cutting off the top of her head in your portrait. Fashion photographer Richard Avedon did this all the time with his portraits of famous people. It puts more emphasis on the face itself, and is a common technique.

    1. That's interesting. I did take another when I realized I'd chopped off the top of her head but it didn't really capture the spirit of her.

  6. Thanks for the comment, David. That's what I've told her all her life but I've also taught her it won't work on everyone as well as it always works on me.

  7. The face can tell so much and a relaxed smile tells the most.

  8. Her eyes are smiling, too...sincere joy displayed by both her smile, and her smiling eyes. Beautiful. :)

Take good care, Pauline...all the best to you and yours. :)
