I used to travel by chopper sometimes for work (little ones as a rule) and it was great sitting in a bubble above everything. For me it was the way to travel.
It belongs to the company that sub-contracts to DoC to do the maintenance on the tramping tracks in the Tangihua Forest, Amy. They were lifting in the supplies they will use.
Do not think the fence would keep the helicopter in, but it might keep you out.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very high deer fence and I have climbed over it - once, a long time ago. The landing on the other side was not graceful.
DeleteOne of my neighbours in Napier used to pop in and out in his chopper which, I assume, was used for agricultural purposes.

DeleteWell, I am wondering...are those sheep in that first photo??? I love that shot. And I would think it was a surprise for the helicopter to be there.
