It's that time of year.

This time of year hay bales litter the countryside.  It's been a good grass growing year, they have been appearing for a while now but these are the first on the farm.

There's rain lingering around the mountain and heavy stuff forecasted by the end of the week.  That, along with the warm weather, will keep our farmers happy for a while.

  1. So different to the weather here. This looks like haylidge. The bales weigh a ton but it is better for horses than hay.

  4. Now you really wrap your bales in plastic. We leave the ends open.

  6. I still find it so odd that it's summer at your end of the world. Here, for the first time this season, I woke up to snow today...

  7. Wow what a gorgeous setting. The green, the bales, the moody sky...everything is picture post card perfect.

  8. What a great picture, we have bales of hay here, but for some reason your area as always looks so beautiful.
