This one I pulled off the road to capture, knowing it would be over by the time I reached home.
The rest are taken from my front deck, looking south west

I think we will have a visual feast this week with sunsets from around the world at Friday My Town Shoot Out, here.
All sunsets are great. the first ones have strong colors the others are more delicate but they are all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely Pauline, but oh you are so right - one has to ready, that magic moment can be gone as quick as they appear!
ReplyDelete(Thank you for the fabulous input on Brazil v Oz v NZ - it was really interesting!)
Enjoy your weekend :)
The fifth on is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you pulled over Pauline. These photos are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOur sunsets are less interesting unless their is a super storm or some air pollution, but they are worth pulling the car over because they last such a short time.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could ever tire of sunsets! I love the purple tones in yours.
ReplyDeleteI’ve been known to stop the car to take pictures of the sunset too.
ReplyDeleteYours are spectacular.
Sunrise and sunset are magical times! Your sunsets are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou were smart to pull over; they change so quickly.
ReplyDeleteLovely... Scrolling through my recent photos I haven't got a single sunset (or sunrise) among them. It's not that we haven't seen the sun at all, but rather that this time of year, it rises so very early and goes to bed so very late that I can't keep up with it...
ReplyDeleteId' have stopped to snap that one!
ReplyDeleteI was talking to my sister last night as she arrived in Fredericton - what a wild night you had!
.........and if that made no sense at all, it's because I had my friends-whose-names-start-with-P mixed up! Of course - the sunset is still marvelous - especially the palest pink.
ReplyDeleteWow, these photographs are breathtakingly beautiful, you've captured these sunsets so well!
ReplyDeleteHi Pauline! The top two shots are stunning and the others fit the 'gentle' category you mentioned. Lovely photos. Cheers, and have a great day :-) Elaine
ReplyDeleteSunrises and sunsets are the times when our emotions are most affected by the visual splendour of the sky.
