FSO - Sunsets

Don't we all love a beautiful sunset?  I have a few imprinted in my memory that were so glorious I'm sure I will never forget them.  Here the sunsets tend to be pretty and gentle.  Occasionally we get a bold sunset but not often.

This one I pulled off the road to capture, knowing it would be over by the time I reached home.

The rest are taken from my front deck, looking south west

I think we will have a visual feast this week with sunsets from around the world at Friday My Town Shoot Out, here.

  1. All sunsets are great. the first ones have strong colors the others are more delicate but they are all beautiful.

  2. These are lovely Pauline, but oh you are so right - one has to ready, that magic moment can be gone as quick as they appear!
(Thank you for the fabulous input on Brazil v Oz v NZ - it was really interesting!)

  5. Our sunsets are less interesting unless their is a super storm or some air pollution, but they are worth pulling the car over because they last such a short time.

  7. I’ve been known to stop the car to take pictures of the sunset too.

  10. Lovely... Scrolling through my recent photos I haven't got a single sunset (or sunrise) among them. It's not that we haven't seen the sun at all, but rather that this time of year, it rises so very early and goes to bed so very late that I can't keep up with it...

I was talking to my sister last night as she arrived in Fredericton - what a wild night you had!

  12. .........and if that made no sense at all, it's because I had my friends-whose-names-start-with-P mixed up! Of course - the sunset is still marvelous - especially the palest pink.

  14. Hi Pauline! The top two shots are stunning and the others fit the 'gentle' category you mentioned. Lovely photos. Cheers, and have a great day :-) Elaine

  15. Sunrises and sunsets are the times when our emotions are most affected by the visual splendour of the sky.
