Old girl

Parked outside the hairdressers when I was having my last haircut as a working person:

I might be old and retiring at the end of next week but this old girl proves we can keep on going long after we loose our looks.

  1. 'Old' is a state of mind Pauline. You are a long way from being old. Mind you when we get to our age there's bound to be a little bit of wear and tear.

  2. Have a long and active retirement.
It is good to see these cars still being used.

  4. Hello Pauline,

Great car, does it belong to the Clampett's! Enjoy your carefree days.

  5. I'm sure you'll find ways to keep busy, Pauline... And you'll find your hair keeps growing and needs cutting from time to time even after retirement! :)

  6. Old is not a number but an attitude. I keep posting inappropriate comments on FB and joke with friends and embarrass my children who wish I would act my age.

  7. I wonder that old but still very good looking car wasn't there just for you as a sign...I would take it as one anyway! Happy retirement.

  8. Age has nothing to do with style and class.

I think she's a darn fine model that car!

  10. You are about to enter the best time of your life and you don't have to worry about looks.

  11. Good analogy! We can stand the test of time as long as we have classic lines and wear basic black. I love it!
I have a photo, somewhere, of my father and his brothers standing on and sitting in a car like this.
    It's a beauty.
