A messed up glasses behind glass:
Glass marbles in a glass bowl:
Glass windows in my work office and my (almost) reflection:
If it's glass and holds water I'm likely to call it a vase and plonk some flowers in it. Especially at this time of year when everything seems to be in bloom. These are picked from the roadside and my garden. And there are a couple of other glass things I find useful in the shot. The blue bottle at the back on the right was picked up from a drain and given to me by my grandson when he was four (he's 18 now) with the declaration that it was a "treasure" - and so it is!
6 pm and conditions look good according to the weather glass:
Did I say 6 pm? It's been a lovely warm day and I've done enough work, so it's time for this glass:
I wonder what the rest of the team has come up with? Just pop over here to have a look.
Blogger is being a pain in the butt at the moment. I received an email saying, "I'd love to know why I can't see your Glass posting. Can You?" No, I cannot but there seems a logical explanation for that, I haven't posted it yet. But then I looked for it and sure enough it says I posted it 21 hours ago. That would have been last night when I uploaded the first three shots you see here. But I didn't publish it. Ah well, I will have forgotten all about it by the time I finish that glass.
You have some gorgeous vases! I love collection vases and glasswares , which just sit pretty in the cupboard .I love that blue bottle your grandson pickup, it's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi Pauline,
ReplyDeleteIs your house 1920s too? I moved to one, and the cupboards in the kitchen is the same as yours. I took a photo and almost posted it, except, I don't have my crystal glasses in them,
You always manage to get plenty of examples for your FSO. I like the glass marbles image. But I like the last photo idea best!
ReplyDelete2nd attempt to post a comment! I had seen your post of several days ago - now I know the story. when I pulled you from the FSO list I got the original photos not these (?) Blogger is still confused. I love the 4th - the composition is great with the dominate blues and touches of red. and yes the blue bottle would be a treasure - I have one I also found along the road, I guess I dould have used that for one of my shots. My windows are not great same problem - light and reflections.
ReplyDeletehave a great week
I could see your blog just fine. And I loved the variety -- from weather glass to marbles to vases. And a great ending. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the purple flowers, it has glass and beauty and composition that pleases me to the depth of my soul
ReplyDeleteEverytime I visit your blog I marvel at your header photo. I love it and have tried to replicate it many times. Some very creative photos here. Love the marbles and the blue bottle caught my eye, since I collect the cobalt blue.

You can't go wrong with a GLASS of wine!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers plonked in vases are wonderful with a relaxed feel that I like very much. And I'm intrigued by your messed up glasses. Neat!
ReplyDeleteI like that blue 'treasure' bottle! But then I'll go for almost anything blue ;)
ReplyDeletePauline, your glass variety is very intriguing. I love all the different colors you showcase and the different types of glass, and I think that blue treasure from your grandson is awesome. It really is a treasure and very pretty. Of course, add a glass of wine and you have the perfect ending to your post.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Blogger can do some strange things. I am chuckling over your last sentence!
ReplyDeleteGhost in the blogger innards, I'd say.
ReplyDeleteGlass is so very hard to photograph, isn't it?....but you did a great job. I love the vases and flowers, of course, because we're deep in the white stuff. The last glass would suit me just fine too!
Hello Pauline,
ReplyDeleteJust love your floral photo's I would love to be able to pick flowers like that at this time of the year.
Have a great weekend.
