Friday My Town Shoot out - Favourite things

I would never have made it in The Sound of Music. I don't go for all those lovely soft fluffy things Maria sang about as her "favourite things". But I agree wholeheartedly with these lines of the song:

When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Thank you to town blogger team for this week's theme of "A few of my favourite things"..
I've given it a lot of thought but the same things always pop up - trees, the mountains, the creek, stones, rocks. So I've decided to concentrate on the things that enrich my life, the things I see every day. You will have seen some of them before because, after all, they are favourites:

My favourite tree

Trees growing in a swampy area beside the road.

After heavy rain there are little waterfalls.

and sometimes the creek spills over it's banks and creeps across the countryside.

I see rocks

and funny little old sheds

my old dog always lifts my spirits

and when I get home there are often fairies in my garden.

  1. Excellent!
I'm not the only one with a favorite tree. (mine is visible from the left-hand side of the train from Clermont to Vichy, and I don't have a picture of it yet, even though I've admired it for 12 years now)

  16. You are among my favorite bloggers. Pretty high on the list, I'd say. I love your photos. All are so beautiful and I appreciate all the greenery in your area.

I will be catching up on all your posts over the weekend. I just read your post about being at the doctor and the bucket list. That would make my imagination run wild too.

Thanks for alerting me to the Mr. Linky thing.
