Thank you, Ellisa from Michigan for the topic this week. I think I'm a bit overawed by that word "classics". Don't think any of my photos fall into the classic category but here is my interpretation of the theme.
Love the little golden books. These are really cute pictures. Why is it that little girls and boys want to cut hair? I remember cutting my own bangs when I was a tot and that episode curtailed my future career as a beautician. Haha.
I love the way you focused on precious things Pauline. Books and pets certainly are. But how precious is that adorable little face with the cut hair? Been there, seen it and had it done. That is a true classic and a true classic face. Thank you for your lovely post today.
oh my yes. My sister and I cut my sisters hair (cut the bangs right off completely) the day before she was the flower girl in my aunts wedding. We just wanted her to be pretty!
I'm so glad you included books, great idea. As for the haircut, my brother's take on that was to cut my doll's hair. He was 3 at the time, I eventually forgave him.
Oh goodness you reminded me when I cut my own fringe it was a disaster!
ReplyDeleteOh sweetness. That last shot, Pauline...look at that little face ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding of childhood books. I am a great reader and books were a big part of my childhood.
ReplyDeleteThe last "haircutting" photo was precious.

ReplyDeleteAhhhh...who doesn't have a memory of the haircut by a sibling or even self? That is really classic.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff! Children cutting hair has always been a classic.

ReplyDeleteThat last one is a classic from my younger sister.
ReplyDeleteAlong with shaving off our baby brother's eyebrows.
These are perfect. I still love the little golden books from long ago; mine were worn to shreds. And ahhh, that hair cut, a classic indeed.
