Common and uncommon

Common sheep fence.

I don't often find a helicopter on the other side of the fence.

  1. Do not think the fence would keep the helicopter in, but it might keep you out.

    1. That's a very high deer fence and I have climbed over it - once, a long time ago. The landing on the other side was not graceful.

  2. One of my neighbours in Napier used to pop in and out in his chopper which, I assume, was used for agricultural purposes.

    1. It would be handy to have your own chopper sometimes, wouldn't it?

    2. I used to travel by chopper sometimes for work (little ones as a rule) and it was great sitting in a bubble above everything. For me it was the way to travel.

    1. It belongs to the company that sub-contracts to DoC to do the maintenance on the tramping tracks in the Tangihua Forest, Amy. They were lifting in the supplies they will use.

  5. Well, I am wondering...are those sheep in that first photo??? I love that shot. And I would think it was a surprise for the helicopter to be there.

  6. Yes, they are sheep, Rose. I had my grand-daughter take the photo out the car window as we drove past.
