Seasonal fence

It's our heavy rain time of year, when the water in the creek swells with rain water carried down from the mountains and creeps across paddocks, sometimes engulfing fences and the road.

  1. I remember this from previous posts at this time of year. I hope nothing important floats away!

    1. The heavy rain didn't last for long this time and so didn't cause any real bother. Luckily, there was no harm done.

  3. Looks like high water when the fences go under. The road looks threatened.

    1. It didn't get any worse than that, so the road stayed open.

  7. That looks like a local swamp picture after a heavy rain. Water goes where it wants to, there's almost nothing that can keep water out.

    1. Yes, no good telling that water it's meant to stay in the creek when the creek isn't up to the job.

  13. It rained here quite a bit last week, was nice but I have yet to experience a proper storm like we use to get in Mangawhai.
