Dual purpose

Dual purpose fence post:

The children on the farm are growing up.  Two of them will tell you they are already grown up and I can't really argue with that.  But if you look carefully you will still find reminders of their childhood around the farm.  The old baling twine hanging from a shady tree still holds a remnant from their cubbyhouse.

  1. For some reason that I can't explain I find the detritus of childhood very sad.

  4. That is why it is so important that we love and enjoy them while small. I believe they grow faster these days.

    1. I often think my grandchildren grew up quicker than my children did. Mind you I often thought my own children would NEVER grow up!

    1. I always think that baling twine looks a little forlorn, as if it's waiting for the children to return.
