The Luge

A few years ago I wasn't brave enough to go down The Luge at the Rotorua Gondola.  Luckily my sister-in-law Judy is not so faint hearted and, after going down once herself, convinced me it was easy peasy.  I was a bit concerned what might happen to my blood pressure but gave in and agreed to give it a go.

And it was great fun!  I even suffered a bit of road rage when a young lad, around 11 or 12 years old, got in my way.  Well, not exactly road rage, but more than a little impatient.   I finally got past him just before the end of the ride.  Next time I'm going down the more difficult track.

Thanks, Jude, for teaching me we are never too old for a bit of fun!

  4. Sounds fun. I bet you were bumping that kid up the backside - and why not; god for you for overtaking.

  5. Oh Pauline, that looks like so much fun! I don't think we have anything like that here, at least I am not aware of it.

  6. I love the luge. It's tremendous fun. Even more so as you can travel back up the hill on the chairlift!

As for being old: You? Never!
