Honouring Trees FSO

I love trees in all weather

In all seasons

Young or old

In town or in the country

Day or night

Inside and out

Sorry, I don't have a photo of the insides of a tree!

Todays topic, Honoring Trees, has been chosen by GingerV to celebrate Earth Day.  Ginger is one of the hardworking team whose efforts make our Friday Shoot Outs possible.  Thank you, Ginger.  I'm sure the rest of the team appreciate everything you do for us as much as I do.

Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment.  I look forward to some more wonderful colourful photos from Ginger in Brazil where my son Bernie lives.  Every time I see her photos I think of him.

  5. I think the first photo and the spooky one with the moon peeking through at night, were my favourites.

But tell the other photos not to be jealous, I really like them too.

  6. Great job. What a wonderful example of the beauty to be found in trees at all stages of their life and demise. I too love bark. We have a river birch that is just beautiful. Sure enjoyed your entry.

  7. Kia ora Pauline,
Thanks for your visit! Always good to connect with those close to home. I love the rees we have as well. As a matter of fact in the mountains I often just stand or sit in the forests for hours just letting the energy and life get back to their normal rhythms and just being part of it. Kia kaha.
    Cheers,
    Robb

  11. That giant tree, it is a Pohutukawa tree? I marvel at how big it is. Auckland's city father has chosen the pohutukawa tree to represent Auckland, and it replaces the sails. Lots of people are not happy.
