I hope everyone is feeling buoyant and optimistic about 2010.
New Year is surely the time to look on the bright side. I like a simple approach to life, believe life is better when you expect it to be.
And, let me tell you, I have high expectations for 2010. As well as liking life to be simple, I like it to be easy and I think it is easier to have high expectations than to have many resolutions. I accept that some effort on my part may be required for my high expectations to be realized but, hey, that's not too much to ask, is it?
So, instead of a list of resolutions I am constructing a list of my high expectations. It's not a Wish List, wishes are best left with the fairies (not that I don't have faith in the fairies) but this is a list of what I expect.
Right, I'd best get on with it then!
Happy New Year's gal. It is still New Year's Eve to me. HH and I are having a quiet supper of meat sauce and spaghetti and garlic bread and white white, and probably go to bed by 9 PM. Too old to stay up and celebrate any more. 50 years ago today I was in the hospital and HH had to go out and bury 2 tiny premature infants. We have come a long way in 50 years always accepting whatever comes along. Blessings

I wish you well with your High Expectations.
ReplyDeleteThis time last year I had no expectations, never mind high ones. Until I read your posting, it never occurred to me to have any this year either. I think it's a wonderful idea. I shall compile a list too.
Empathise with this Pauline. Specially the simple bit, I can cope with simple. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGreat look and great idea for the new year. Advance Happy Birthday to you!
