Thank you, JarieLyn at Write Place! Write Chick! You've given me such a thrill. Shame I can't give it back to you - I can't, can I? - because yours is one of the blogs I love to visit.
So first I have to play the game and answer the dozens of questions which seems a bit silly to me because who cares where my cell phone is? I can only use one word for each answer. Then I have to name 6 others to pass this award on to and they must give a one word answer to each of the questions. Most of my favourite bloggers seem to be quite intelligent people so I probably don't have to go repeating myself.
OK...here goes
1. Where is your cell phone? Desk
2. Your hair? Straight
3. Your mother? Old
4. Your father? Gone (to heaven?)
5. Your favorite food? Thai
6. Your dream last night? Dream?
7. Your favorite drink? Red wine
8. Your dream/goal? Happiness
9. What room are you in? Office
10. Your hobby? Photography
11. Your fear? Failure
12. Where do you want to be in 6 years? Alive
13. Where were you last night? Home

17. Where did you grow up? Brisbane
18. Last thing you did? Drove
19. What are you wearing? Clothes
20. Your TV? Pathetic
21. Your pets? Lewey
22. Friends? Wonderful
23. Your life? Happy
24. Your mood? Up
25. Missing someone? Yes
26. Vehicle? Nissan
27. Something you're not wearing? Frown

Now, I guess the six bloggers I choose should be my favourites.
Tough! Some blogs I can't stay away from because of the beautiful photography, others I'm interested in what they have to say, how they write.
In no particular order:
Bev at Kainga Happenings.
This was one of the very first blogs I ever visited as Bev is the sister of a dear friend. She's an extremely talented quilter, I've seen her handcrafts and they just blow me away. Also, when I got the notion to start a blog she helped me with encouragement and advise. Thanks, Bev.
Barry at An Explorers View of Life and his lovely wife Linda, at Living in the Eastern Woodlands.
That counts as two, right? I've been a follower of Barry's for ages but it was months before I even dared leave a comment, to me he is the King of Bloggers and amateurs like me should know their place. This man starts to type and magic flows, he is a master story teller, a beautiful writer. He writes as I dream about writing. By his side is a lovely lady, Linda, who seems to me to be the epitome of womanhood. Together they are now fighting Barry's cancer and flowing towards them they have the combined energy of a huge band of blogger followers.
CJ at Rambles from My Chair, otherwise known as scriptor senex.
I can't remember how I discovered his blog, maybe through the Friday My Town Shoot Out. He takes wonderful photos, he amuses me and sometimes I even learn things when I visit. He seems to have a treasure trove of useless information. But probably only useless to me, please don't be offended. He has a number of other blogs but I rarely have time to read them. And there is also a whole blogging family. Which leads me to his brother, and fellow blogger.....
GB, currently that Hebridean in New Zealand, until recently at Eagleton Notes.
I like his cheerful, positive outlook on life and, oh boy, does he ever take good photos. And it's nice to know another blogger in NZ.
One more. I have two Brits, two Canadians, one Aussie, I think I'd like another Aussie or maybe an American. I love Sarah Lulu, I've learnt a lot about attitude since discovering her blog but I've decided to give the final award to a girl I admire, a girl with a lot of guts, and a girl who I think could do with a hug right now. So, Sandy, this is my hug to you.

Congratulations on your award!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the award and the comments. I've only re-read them 5 times now and am considering starting every day by coming here and rereading what you've had to say about me.
ReplyDeleteThe following sounds boastful, but it isn't. I've had to discontinue posting awards on my blog simply due to their shear numbers. I am humbled and treasure the awards and accept and keep them in a folder on my computer but no longer publicly accept or display them.
Coming from you, of course, I'm almost tempted to make an exception.
Thank you Pauline. Question 17 is going to be difficult - I haven't yet!
ReplyDeletePauline, I love what you said about Barry and I agree whole heartedly. His writing is mesmerizing. Sandy and Sara Lulu are two blogs I read regularly also, and my heart goes out to Sandy right now.
ReplyDeleteYou deserve the award!
Congratulations on your award, well done!
ReplyDeleteHello Pauline, Thank you so much for this. I join you in the ranks of being a ridgy didge blogger. Happy days.
ReplyDeleteGosh. Thank you Pauline. I've just caught up with your blog and almost missed this posting. I know you won't be offended if I don't manage to comply with the conditions (which I assume are to answer the questions and pass it on). I'll try but.... I'm just not very good at that.
ReplyDeleteI was interested in some of your answers though so perhaps... Mind you why I should want to know where your cellphone is defeats me. Oh. I've had an idea! Now that doesn't happen very often.
